Thank you for wanting to know more about me. My name is Jackie Trottmann. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. My first loves growing up were art and music. However, when it was time to focus on, “what I was going to do when I grew up,” I chose a more practical path and majored in business. What I found was that advertising and marketing fit my need for the creativity that I loved.
I spent thirty-one years in the field of marketing and advertising with a great majority of that time spent in radio sales and management. While sales gave me the freedom I desired, the high stress, corporate America climate with endless meetings took its toll. I wasn’t loving what I did anymore.
Turning fifty was a wake up call for me. I had worked very hard my entire life helping other people fulfill “their” dreams, but had abandoned any dreams of my own. I realized that if I didn’t take massive action that I would die with my dreams still inside of me. I couldn’t allow that to happen.
Just like I’d fallen in love with radio advertising and marketing, I’ve discovered a new love, Internet marketing. Technology is advancing every day. It has been really exciting to learn all of the facets of building websites, creating products, meeting new people and forging joint ventures.
When I was in the radio business, the Internet was just starting to become a force. After spending so much time learning how the Internet works, it’s been an eye opening experience to see the opportunities that are available to people to help them in their businesses.
I’m married to Robert Trottmann. I have a son, Steve, who gets a kick out of towering over me and also picking me up in a bear hug when he says good-bye. He has chosen Mass Communications as his major, so he has made his momma proud. (I’m proud of him anyway.) Robert and I also share our home with T.C. Kitty and Wilson, the Yellow Lab.
With my wake-up call has come the desire to appreciate each moment and to seek a spiritual path. Living in challenging times, as we do, calls for great courage. I have a whole new appreciation for people that own their own businesses. It takes a lot of persistence and courage to keep on going.
I also believe that we are made up of a mind, body and spirit. All need to be nurtured to ultimately live a more joyful life. So, with mind, body and spirit in mind, please visit my other websites:
